GAMEPLAY

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Leading and growing the design department
    • Grew the department from 2 to 8 people
    • Oversaw a complete redesign of the core gameplay
    • Created new combat system
    • Designed genre-first mechanics such as the Loadouts, Rifts and Masks
  • Narrative
    • Collaborated on the creation of the game’s lore
    • Wrote the entire game’s script (over 10,000 lines of dialogue)
    • Involved in casting & directing all Voice Actors
    • Assisting in concepting, storyboarding, and editing all trailers
  • Overseeing all other departments
    • Overseeing other departments, with Art Director, Tech Director, and Audio Director below me
    • Involved in the planning and coordination of all departments
    • Involved in hiring and growing the studio from less than 50 to over 70 people
  • Marketing & Public Presence
    • Cooperating with marketing on the game’s planning
    • Involved with external partners such as SEGA and securing media coverage by IGN and Fextralife
    • Voice over for several trailers, including writing their script
    • Handling of journalist interviews, preview events and public stage appearances
  • Tech design
    • Overseeing all tech systems, from saving to performance
    • Assisted in creating a Quest system similar to CDPR’s within Unreal Engine 5
    • Intimately involved with balancing and tuning reviews
  • Creative & Art Direction
    • Involved in the overall creative vision of the game and ensuring consistency across the title
    • Reviewing and approving all creative content, from concept art to weapons, character models and animations
